Description: Beautiful stamp without post mark, but has been hinged. The 1901 Nyassa Company 15 reis stamp (black and orange-brown) is part of a famous 13-stamp pictorial series featuring giraffes browsing on palm trees. Designed by Robert Edgcumbe and printed by Waterlow and Sons, these, including the 15r, were issued for the Portuguese Mozambique colony.
